Who’s behind this project?
Hi, I’m Essi 👋
I’m originally from Finland and spent shorter periods in London and Malta before moving to Barcelona in 2018. Becoming a parent in 2020 opened the doors to a whole new side of Barcelona — one that I now want to share with you, whether you live here or are just visiting.
I started FamilyBarcelona to make family life and travel here easier and more fun — giving quick access to must-see places, sharing local experiences you might not find on your own, supporting small businesses and encouraging responsible family living & travel.
