Petit Brunch Barcelona – A Family-Friendly Festival of Music, Food & Play

Looking for something different to do in Barcelona with kids? Petit Brunch is an outdoor event that combines live electronic music, street food, and plenty of activities for children — a festival experience that’s fun for all ages. It’s like a mini-festival designed for families — a lively, creative space where parents and kids can enjoy music, food, and play together in the heart of the city.

What to Expect

Petit Brunch doesn’t always happen in the same spot — the venue can vary across Barcelona, including locations like Montjuïc, Poble Espanyol, or Nou Barris, among others. The exact activities change a little with each edition, but the heart of the event stays the same: enjoying music, food, and quality time with family and friends.

The event usually starts around 1 pm, running in parallel with the main Brunch in the Park program. Families have their own dedicated space, separate from the adults’ event, with plenty of room for kids to play safely.

Typical activities include:

  • 🎧 DJ workshops for kids

  • ✂️ Arts & crafts (we’ve made ghost puppets and pins)

  • 💦 Outdoor and water games (slip ’n slide on hot days)

  • 🎭 Costumes, trampolines, and creative play

  • ⚽ Sports and roleplay zones

During the afternoon, it’s mainly families with children; the atmosphere becomes more adult-oriented only later in the evening.

Food & Comfort

Visitors to Petit Brunch also have easy access to the food court area, usually located right next to the kids’ zone. You’ll find a selection of local food trucks offering burgers, vegetarian and vegan options, pizza, and other easy bites perfect for children.

Toilets are close by and generally still in good condition during Petit Brunch hours, which makes the visit much easier for families with young kids.

Tickets

🎟️ Tickets can be purchased via Resident Advisor or directly at the entrance.
👶 Children 0–12 years enter for free.

For updates, check Petit Brunch on Instagram. Note: their account covers events across Spain, so the most up-to-date Barcelona-specific information is usually on the ticketing page.

FamilyBarcelona Tip

Arrive early in the afternoon to make the most of the kids’ activities while the atmosphere is still relaxed and family-focused.

Why Families Love It

Petit Brunch is a true hidden gem in Barcelona for families, blending music, play, and togetherness in a way that feels unique to the city. Whether you live here or are just visiting, it’s the kind of experience kids will talk about long after the day is over — and parents will value as a refreshing break from the usual sightseeing routine.
