Barcelona with kids isn’t just about ticking landmarks off a list — it’s about creating memories as a family. That’s why FamilyBarcelona isn’t a copy-paste page, but a hand-picked collection of experiences, tips, and places that really matter for families.

I first moved to Barcelona in 2018 after spending shorter periods in London and Malta. Back then, I realized how big and sometimes challenging this city can feel, especially with children. Later, becoming a parent opened the doors to a whole new side of Barcelona — one that I now want to share with you. If you’d like to know more, you can read about us and how this project began.

With FamilyBarcelona, we aim to create a space where families can easily find what they need: where to go, how to get around, and which local gems are worth your time. Instead of searching through endless blogs and forums, you’ll find practical tips, must-sees, and authentic local experiences all in one place. Some of these come from partnerships with local family-friendly businesses, because supporting locals is at the heart of this project.

With this guide, we aim to:

  • make Barcelona with kids easier and more fun 💛

  • support small and family-run local businesses 👩‍🍳

  • encourage responsible family living and travel 🌍

This project is still growing, and we’re genuinely excited for this journey together. By choosing FamilyBarcelona, you’re not only helping other parents discover the city, but also supporting a small local business and the many family-run businesses we feature. Don’t miss our age-based guides — the first of their kind in Barcelona, designed to make planning even easier.

Thank you for being part of this community — and welcome to Barcelona with kids, hand-picked and made personal.
